BALLET AT THE SAND-COVERED CHURCH, SKAGEN<\/h1>\n
Magical is probably the adjective that best describes the very special ballet experience you can experience when some of the world's most talented ballet dancers perform together with Danish opera singers and classical musicians in front of the iconic church tower in Skagen.<\/p>\n
Since the very first performance in 2008, Verdensballetten has visited The Sand-Covered Church and the wind, the sunset and the natural surroundings complement the artists' performance in a unique way. Our loyal summer guests from all over the country ensure that the performance is always a resounding success. <\/p>\n
Please note that for the first time we are selling VIP tickets in the front stand, some of which also include VIP dinner at Ruths Strandhotel. (read more under Worth knowing) <\/p>\n
PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA<\/h6>\n
This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world's finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians. <\/p>\n
The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.<\/p>\n
The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show's repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.<\/p>\n
In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place - in the middle of beautiful North Jutland and close to Frederikshavn.<\/p>\n

WORTH KNOWING BEFORE THE SHOW<\/h6>\n\t\t\t\tPlease note that access to the seating area does not open until 17:00<\/p>\n
Free but limited parking is available in the public parking lot by the ice cream shop. Expect from here approx. 15-20 min. walk to the church and that there will be some traffic entering and leaving on the day. We therefore recommend arriving by bike if possible - or allow plenty of time in your car. <\/p>\n
The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time. <\/span><\/p>\nThere are two entrances to the church where tickets will be checked. Therefore, remember to bring your printed or digital ticket. <\/p>\n

If you have purchased VIP seats in the front stand incl. subsequent dinner at Ruths Strandhotel, you can look forward to the following:
at 21.00 a cool welcome drink is served followed by an exquisite light summer buffet with local delicacies in the company of the artists.
The menu does not include drinks that must be purchased separately.

For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed. <\/span><\/p>\nAt the request of the audience, as in any other theater space, photography will NOT be allowed during the performance.<\/span><\/p>\nVerdensballetten offers a companion ticket for wheelchair users or people with disabilities upon presentation of a valid companion certificate. However, please note that the venue has very uneven terrain and is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with severe walking difficulties.
