BALLET IN TISVILDELEJE

After a sold-out debut in 2024, Verdensballetten wants to return to the beach in Tisvildeleje.
However, we are awaiting the municipality’s permission to once again set the stage at the special place where the waves of the sea, the green fence and the town’s summer atmosphere will be the unique setting for the performance.
We look forward to opening for ticket sales as soon as possible (May/June) – keep an eye out here, on our social media or in the newsletter that you can sign up for here on the website.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place – all in the heart of North Zealand.

WORTH KNOWING BEFORE THE SHOW

Please note – we expect to open for ticket sales in May/June once we have all permits in place.

Entrance opens at 17.30
Remember to bring your ticket either in print or digitally.

The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time.

It will be possible to buy drinks and delicious snacks in the area. It is therefore not allowed to bring your own drinks, but food can be enjoyed from your seat before the show starts or on the lawn.

Remember to dress warmly in the Danish summer – maybe even a raincoat or a blanket you can share on the rows of chairs.

For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the request of the audience, it is now – as in any other theater space – NOT allowed to take photos during the performance.

There are outdoor toilet facilities in the area.

Free parking is available in the area. Disabled parking is also available.

Please note that the surface varies between asphalt, gravel and sand at the location.

Verdensballetten offers a companion ticket for wheelchair users or disabled persons upon presentation of a valid companion certificate.
