BALLET AT RØNNEBÆKSHOLM, NÆSTVED

After a fantastic debut, Verdensballetten dances again in Næstved when we visit the over 700-year-old manor Rønnebæksholm, former home to the poet N.F.S. Grundtvig.
Today, the beautiful white building serves as an art gallery, surrounded by the scenic park, which also houses works of art, sound art and separate art gardens.
In this unusual setting, Verdensballetten presents ballet and classical music and lets art, nature and history merge under the open sky.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Don Quixote, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place.

The performance at Rønnebæksholm is organized by Galleri Diana Juhl in collaboration with Næstved Cityforening and Rønnebæksholm.

WORTH KNOWING BEFORE THE SHOW

The doors to Rønnebæksholm open at 17.30, where you can see the exhibition in Kunsthal Rønnebæksholm and buy food and drink.
The performance starts at 19.30 and admission to the seats is at 18.30.
Remember to bring your ticket either in print or digitally.

The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time.

The performance at Rønnebæksholm is organized in collaboration with Galleri Diana Juhl, Næstved Cityforening and Rønnebæksholm.

Remember to dress warmly in the Danish summer – maybe even a raincoat and a blanket to share on the rows of chairs. For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the request of the audience, it will now – as in any other theater space – NOT be allowed to take photos during the performance.

There are outdoor toilet facilities in the park.

PARKING
It is possible to park by car and bus at the barn and the old farm buildings at Rønnebæksholm.
Handicapped parking is available in the courtyard at the main entrance to the main building.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Bus 611 towards Tappernøje from Næstved Station. Get off at the stop “Rønnebæksholm Bystævnet” and follow the road down towards Rønnebæksholm. The walk takes approx. 10 minutes. Bus 620R towards Præstø. Get off at the bus stop “Ny Præstøvej 100” and walk approx. 1 km along the forest wedge bike path.

There is also a cycle path all the way from Næstved Station. The route is approx. 2 km and follows the beautiful Laugstien path along the meadows.

Please note that the surface varies between grass and gravel at this location.

For the sake of the shared experience, dogs are not allowed.
