BALLET AT FJORDENHUS, VEJLE

Verdensballetten is back at the unique Fjordenhus on the waterfront in Vejle. Set in front of Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson’s extraordinary building, we look forward to once again presenting a unique ballet experience combining world-class dance, art and architecture as the evening sky reflects in the blue waters of the fjord.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place – all in the heart of South Jutland.

Doors open to the area at 16:00

Remember to bring your ticket either in print or digitally.

The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time.

Please remember to dress warmly in the Danish summer – maybe even a raincoat and a blanket to share on the rows of chairs. For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the request of the audience, it is now – as in any other theater space – NOT allowed to take photos during the performance.

There are outdoor toilet facilities in the area. There are no public toilets in Fjordenhus itself.

There is limited parking in the area and in Havneøen’s parking garage at Kahytten 2.
There is parking for tourist buses in bus pockets along Strandgade.
Parking on Havneøen is prohibited and there is no disabled parking.
If this is needed, please arrive in good time, as loading and unloading is allowed at the bridge.

Please note that the surface at Fjordenhus is cobblestone and asphalt.
