BALLET IN THE KGL. HAVESELSKABS GARDEN, FREDERIKSBERG

Experience Verdensballetten’s festive premiere in Det Kgl. Garden Society’s enchanting garden in Frederiksberg.
Between roses, perennials and a reflecting pool, ballet and classical music are combined with the garden’s own poetry – and Brøndsalen and Paradehuset form the elegant setting for an evening full of magic.
Please note that the stage is placed in a new location in the garden with a grandstand at the back for optimal visibility.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay of wind and weather, and with art and nature as a backdrop, a completely new ballet experience is created with the special soul and character of this place – all in the heart of Frederiksberg.

The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time.

Inthe beautiful Brøndsal, the people behind Mielcke & Hurtigkarl serve an exquisite ballet menu with champagne and wine menu to pamper your taste buds and set the right mood before the performance.
Bringing your own food and drinks is therefore NOT allowed.

Remember to dress warmly in the Danish summer – maybe even a raincoat and a blanket to share on the rows of chairs. For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the request of the audience, it will now – as in any other theater space – NOT be allowed to take photos during the performance.

There is limited public parking in the area and we recommend using public transportation such as metro and bus, or arriving very early.

Please note that the surface is gravel and grass in Haveselskabets Have.
