VerdensballETTEN is once again visiting the historic Sølyst, Den Kgl. Skydebane north of Copenhagen. For the 11th time, we open the doors for a unique outdoor performance where ballet, opera and classical music are presented with the beautiful park and Øresund as an enchanting backdrop.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place – with a special connection to both Gentofte and Klampenborg.

2-COURSE BALLET MENU INSIDE AT SØLYST

Ballet menu in Sølyst’s beautiful premises.
(Please note that tickets for the performance must be purchased separately.)

You must first register at the World Ballet ticket booth on the apron.

Doors open at 17:00 for guests who have ordered the Ballet Menu – you are welcome at the bar, in the lounges, where you can buy an aperitif before dinner.

The 2026 ballet menu is served at 17:30:

Starter –
Lightly smoked salmon with pieces of pickled white asparagus.
Soft boiled quail eggs, small salads & wild herbs
Tarragon cream & crispy new Danish potatoes
Served with 1 glass of white wine

Main course –
Roasted guinea fowl stuffed with morels & thyme
Green asparagus & small carrots Grilled onions and caramelized squash puree with mild garlic
Small new Danish potatoes with parsley butter and cress
Served with 1 glass of red wine

Coffee & sweets are served at the table after dinner.

Price DKK 775.00.

Purchase of the ballet menu does NOT include seating at table and bench sets, nor seating for the performance. This is purchased separately.

Until the start of the performance, the cloakroom and toilets in the basement can be used

From 19:30 Sølyst is occupied for other purposes.

It is possible to purchase table and bench sets in a limited area of the park at Sølyst.

Here you are welcome to enjoy your pre-ordered picnic box or picnic basket.
It will be possible to buy drinks, coffee and tea in the area.

Please note that you are not allowed to bring your own drinks and that it is not possible to use the facilities inside Sølyst.

Purchase of table/bench 2 – 6 people can sit at the table – per person DKK 75,-

If reservations are made for 2-3 people, 2 people will be seated at the opposite end of the table.

Purchase of tables/bench sets can be ordered until Monday, July 6 at 12:00 noon

Sølyst opens the doors to the park at 16:30 and to the seating areas at 18:30
Remember to bring your ticket either in print or digitally.

The performance lasts approximately two hours including intermission and starts on time.

Once again this year, you can enjoy your picnic basket or pre-ordered picnic box in designated areas of the park.
You are welcome to bring blankets and your own picnic equipment.
It is also possible to purchase seating at table and bench sets, where you can also purchase pre-ordered drinks that are ready on arrival.
The experience can also be completed with an exquisite Ballet Menu in Sølyst’s beautiful premises. This must be pre-ordered and does not include a ticket to the performance.

You are not allowed to bring your own drinks, these can be purchased at the bar on site.

Remember to dress warmly in the Danish summer – maybe even a raincoat and a blanket to share on the rows of chairs. For visibility reasons, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the request of the audience, it will now, as in any other theater space, NOT be allowed to take photos during the performance.

There are outdoor toilet facilities in the park.

There is free parking in the area, but no disabled parking. If this is needed, please arrive in good time for parking close to the venue.

Please note that the surface varies between grass, gravel and cobblestone at this location.
