BALLET ON BENEN-DIKEN-HOF, GERMANY

Verdensballetten is once again making its way to the exclusive Benen-Diken-Hof hotel on Sylt – Germany’s fourth largest island. The scenic surroundings set the stage for a very special ballet experience where dance, classical music and nature merge in an unrivaled and elegant way.

Sylt is just a half-day drive from Copenhagen, but the island’s distinctive look will take you much further away from home.

PERFORMANCE WITH BALLET AND OPERA

This summer, Verdensballetten presents prima ballerinas and solo dancers from some of the world’s finest ballet companies, usually only seen on major international stages. The dancers are accompanied on stage by internationally recognized opera singers and classical musicians.

The program is an exquisite potpourri of excerpts from classic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Manon, but also newly choreographed pieces created especially for Verdensballetten.

The artistic framework is set by tenor and emcee Jens-Christian Wandt, who with entertaining anecdotes about the show’s repertoire ties it all together into a complete evening of the highest caliber.

In the interplay between wind and weather and art, and with nature as a backdrop, we create a completely new ballet experience characterized by the special soul and character of this place.
