Thank you for an unforgettable season 2025

Verdensballetten 2025 was the biggest season yet – with 13 performances across Denmark and Germany, and for the very first time also in Schwiez. We visited three new locations in Denmark, returned to a fourth after a number of years, and ended the season in Switzerland, where we performed in bright sunshine against the backdrop of the Alps. A magical end to a magical season.

This year’s program featured four new works, solo dancers from six of the world’s leading companies, Scandinavian singers and musicians and a dedicated team both on and off stage. The audience met us with warmth, curiosity and support – and both press and critics gave us 4, 5 and 6 stars. It means more than we can say – and we take both praise and good advice with us into the evaluation and work on next season.

We believe that good art is always in motion. That we must balance the familiar with the new – and let new works, new places and new formats unfold in close interaction with traditions and settings that many know and return to year after year. It’s a balance we try to find every year – and one that the audience helps us create.A warm thank you for the many good responses in this year’s survey, and know that we read each and every one.

Verdensballetten does not receive government funding. That’s why we are deeply grateful to so many of you for contributing to strong ticket sales – this year almost 12,000 people attended the performances – and for invaluable support from foundations, sponsors and local cultural funds. Without you, none of this would be possible.

We’re already hard at work planning for summer 2026 – and we can’t wait to reveal the program and new locations when ticket sales open on 26 November. Many people use tickets to Verdensballetten as a very special Christmas gift – a cultural experience from heart to heart.

Thank you for this summer – for the enthusiasm, the conversations and the great interest we have met everywhere. Some in bright sunshine, others in chilly winds, but always with smiles, understanding and an open heart.
