Where the 2026 Verdensballetten will dance

Ballet under the open sky – Denmark as a living backdrop

Verdensballetten grows year by year and brings dance, music and great experiences to the whole country.
We visit your summer country and let ballet and classical music step out of the darkness of the theater and into the light of nature.

The 2026 tour offers both brand new adventures and happy reunions.
From rolling hills to deep forest tranquility, from historic estates to modern architecture – each location is carefully selected for its atmosphere, history and beauty.

New adventure on Lolland.
For the first time ever, Verdensballetten is visiting Christianssæde Castle on Lolland, where the stage is set in the old park with a deep forest as a poetic backdrop. It is said that Kaj Munk found his blue anemone right here – and we look forward to inviting you to an atmospheric evening on Tuesday, August 4 at 19.30.

Festive premiere in Det Kgl. Haveselskabs Have in Frederiksberg
This year we invite you to a festive premiere in one of the city’s most beautiful oases, Det Kgl. Haveselskabs Have Tuesday, July 7 at 19:30 . The stage will be set in a new location in the garden with a grandstand at the back for optimal visibility – so the beautiful Parade House with a view of Frederiksberg Church’s tower becomes the beautiful backdrop for the performance.
A magical evening where this year’s performance sees the light of day for the first time – before the ensemble embarks on the summer journey through Denmark.

Happy reunions
The tour bus also sets course for familiar places where friendships have been forged and fine traditions created, of which our audience is a big part.
We look forward to a reunion with the lovely holiday island of Sylt in Germany, where we perform for the 9th time in the garden in front of the exclusive Hotel Benen-Diken-Hof.
At Great Northern we dance again on one of the country’s most beautiful golf courses, and the park overlooking the Øresund will be our backdrop when we as always revisit Sølyst, Den Kgl. Skydebane.
In Vejle, the dancers are reflected in the blue water of the fjord in front of the iconic Fjordenhus, and in Skagen we set the stage at The Sand-Covered Church – our traditional “home ground”.

Experiences beyond ballet
Some locations on this year’s tour offer extra experiences – combining ballet with culture, history and art.

At Møllerup Gods on Mols, the Gamborg family invites you to an atmospheric evening where the audience can take a small tour and hear about the exciting history of the estate before the performance begins.

At Trelleborg near Slagelse, Verdensballetten returns after last year’s success. Visitors will have access to both the museum and the world-famous Viking castle before the dancers take the stage under the evening sky – an experience steeped in history.

When the tour ends at Rønnebæksholm in Næstved, guests can visit the current art exhibition and enjoy the park’s sculptures before the show begins. The show’s organizer, artist Diana Juhl, will also exhibit some of her paintings here.

We look forward to another tour – filled with classical beauty, movement and music in harmony with the Danish summer.
