Where is Verdensballetten 2025 dancing?

With the desire to move ballet and classical music out of the dark theater halls, Verdensballetten brings tutu, toe-tapping and classical pas de deux out into the Danish summer every summer.

Since the first performance in 2008, when the stage was set in one of Denmark’s most beautiful places – the protected nature area at The Sand-Covered Church in Skagen, Verdensballetten now performs at many spectacular locations throughout Denmark.
The scenery ranges from the roaring sea, beautiful castles, architectural masterpieces, breathing holes in the middle of the city and Denmark’s most beautiful golf course.

Each location has been carefully selected and we’re excited to unveil the breathtaking settings for this year’s ballet tour.

Brand new location

For the first time ever, Verdensballetten visits Slagelse in West Zealand when we set the stage at Harald Bluetooth’s 1000-year-old royal fortress Trelleborg.
On August 1, you can experience the Viking Museum and the ring fortress itself, which in 2023 was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, before the performance will take you forward in time to the Renaissance’s finest art form ballet spiced with classical music.
We let two historical eras merge and promise the audience a ballet experience with a touch of history.

Happy reunion with Møllerup Gods

Verdensballetten has gladly accepted an invitation from the new host couple Josephine and Alexander Gamborg at Møllerup Gods, and we look forward to a happy reunion. On Saturday July 12, VerdensballETTEN will dance in front of the beautiful yellow estate with its exciting history. A wonderful summer tradition in idyllic surroundings on Mols has been revived.

Premiere at Sølyst – 10th anniversary year

For the 10th time, Verdensballetten is dancing at Sølyst, Den kgl. Skydebane north of Copenhagen, and we have chosen to mark this anniversary at this year’s festive premiere on July 9. Join us for a spectacular performance at one of our signature locations that offers history and the most beautiful surroundings next to the blue waves of Øresund.

Back in Grønnegården

After 2 years of renovation, Frederiksberg City Hall is back in top shape, and in collaboration with Frederiksberg Municipality, we can once again open the gates to one of the city’s hidden gems – the beautiful Grønnegård. We look forward to performing in a more intimate setting in the middle of the city with the open sky as our roof.

Strong traditions

We will once again set the scene on one of Denmark’s most beautiful golf courses at the exclusive Great Northern and will of course once again dance at Skagen’s iconic landmark The Sand-Covered Church. Once again this year, we’re heading to the German holiday island of Sylt and hope that many more will join us and experience this unique place.
Vejle Fjord’s blue mirror forms the backdrop at Fjordenhus, and the crashing waves of the Kattegat are the backdrop in Tisvildeleje – we can’t wait to welcome you to these well-known and fantastic locations.

Goodbye and thank you to Sostrup Castle

Verdensballetten will not be coming to Sostrup Castle this year and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the great experiences we have had on Djursland. Every year we have been warmly welcomed and have experienced great support from steward Carsten, castle mistress Kirsten Swift, the many volunteers, local forces, and for that we are very grateful.
